Retailers: Your site should shine with Holiday Spirit as last minute shoppers are scouring the Net! Be sure to indicate - particularly on your Home Page - how much longer you will guarantee Christmas delivery. There is still time for one more e-blast wishing your customers well and reminding them that you have last-minute gift options.
Reps: To start the New Year with a bang, spend time the next couple of weeks creating an e-mail schedule. For January and February, you should be sending out an e-mail a week to your customers. Now is the time to select the theme and content for these e-mails.
Suppliers: Show season is less than a month away. Be sure to have your 'digital products' ready: price lists, product images, updated Web site. There is still time to participate in the industry's Catalog Library (http://www.CatalogLibrary.com) - where your reps and retailers are clicking to download your products for their order software and Web sites. |

Q: Is it possible to offer gift certificates on my Web site?
A. You bet it is, and it's a good way to drive traffic to your store. Since gift certificates are purchased, this is only available if your site has a shopping cart. Customers purchasing online can include a gift certificate in their shopping cart. An OverCoffee shopping cart will tax appropriately.

Organizations that don't fall into any of these categories end with .org |

The average time it takes a U.S. customer to make an E-commerce purchase decision grew to 34 hours and 19 minutes this year, up from about 19 hours in 2005, according to a ScanAlert Report.
The change is tied to an increase in the number of E-commerce sites, as consumers are able to comparison-shop for longer stretches of time. The average cost of products purchased has been increasing, making customers take more time to reach a decision.
